The Dover is owned and operated by Jeff and Shannon Steele under their LLC, South Side Lumber. (Shannon's great grandparents, Tom and Clara Donohoe, and grandparents, Dwight and Edith Donohoe, operated a lumber business by the same name in Camden for more than 50 years.)
Jeff and Shannon have committed to investing profit from The Dover back into the Camden community. One way they will give back will be by providing support to entrepreneurs to encourage them to start businesses in Camden. They will also support local nonprofits and organizations by offering meeting space.
About our Building
We are pleased to be able to repurpose the former Camden United Methodist Church into a community center for the Village of Camden. Here is a brief history and a couple of photos of the building:
